Roses love - gifts from the woods

In questi giorni di Giugno non saró molto presente online (per niente direi) perché tra mini vacanze ed impegni vari il pc credo non lo accenderó proprio. Ma ho tante di quelle cosine accumulate nel tempo da mostrare che ho pensato che anche se non ci sono fisicamente, posso comunque tenervi compagnia con qualche post pre-preparato da pubblicare qua e la'! 

Ho deciso di dedicare il mese di Giugno al fiore che piú amo, le Rose Inglesi. Proprio perché qui, iniziano a sbocciare normalmente i primi di Giugno (se l'annata é particolarmente calda puó succedere giá a fine Maggio.. ma non é frequente) e quindi per me, Giugno é il mese delle Rose!

During these days of June I won't be online much (pretty much never I would say) as I won't have much access to a pc among a little holiday and a busy schedule. But I have so many things piled up in the last weeks/months and so I thought about sharing them anyway with some pre-prepared posts, even if I won't be really at the pc now, so I will be able to keep you company every now and again!

I decided to dedicate the month of June to my favourite flower, English Roses. Mainly because around here, June is the month of the year during which they usually start to properly bloom (if the climate is a very warm one, it can happen in late May as well, but that it's not very typical) so for me, June is the month of Roses.

Per questo primo post dedicato alle Rose vi lascio solo qualche piccola immagine di un regalo che mi hanno fatto i boschi intorno a casa mia. Poco prima che le Rose del mio giardino entrassero in piena fioritura, avevo notato, nelle mie passeggiate quotidiane nei dintorni, che diversi cespugli erano (e sono tuttora) in fiore. Credo siano rose selvatiche, ma sinceramente, non ne ho idea!  (se non lo sono il titolo e il tema del post non é molto azzeccato ma fa niente :P)

So for this month dedicated to Roses I am leaving you some pictures of a gift that the woods around my home made me. Just before the roses in my garden started to properly explode in full bloom, I had noticed, along my daily walks, that there were (and still are) many hedges covered in beautiful flowers.

I suppose they are some kind of wild Roses, but honestly I have no idea! (if they are not, than the title and the topic of this post are not really that appropriate, but never mind :P)

Hanno un colore rosa ciclamino tendente al porpora/viola e sono davvero bellissime.. i miei dintorni ne sono letteralmente pieni! Mi sono munita di borsa capiente e cesoie e sono andata a "fare la spesa"! L'unico problema é che i loro rami sono davvero pienissimi di spine e quindi sia per raccoglierle che per arrangiarle mi sono distrutta le mani..

They have a strong cyclamen pink/purple colour and they are stunning... my surroundings are completely filled with them! So I grabbed a spacious bag and my secateurs and I went "shopping" in the woods! The only problem was that their branches are absolutely packed with thorns so collecting them and arranging them was a bit of a nightmare... 

Ma ne valeva la pena no?
